Thanks Kelley. I know your thoughtful and encouraging words will mean a great deal to Leslie. I'll be sure to pass them on!

I respect the fact that Leslie does not require the "acclaim from others" but as a person who now owns two Leslie Sandbultes' I can at least take a moment to pay homage to what her work means in my daily life.

The first purchase of a very small "Martha" had me responding so completely that I used it as the impetus to re-paint our entire house....you know, so she'd feel right at home. She arrived in my life at a turning point of great (exciting) change. Her fiery red hair and the careful consideration of her expression is a treasured girlfriend pushing me just beyond my comfort zone...into amazing opportunities.

The second one--a gift from my husband--attests to the success of those opportunities. She hangs in a room I refer to as The Rosebury Room where "anything goes" and creative progress is carefully guarded.

I love art but I have honestly never responded to pieces like this. I never get tired of the "stories" Leslie's ladies have to share with me.

Enjoyed the interview insight into her process. Thank you.

See you the day after Christmas.
