The first purchase of a very small “Martha” had me responding so completely that I used it as the impetus to re-paint our entire house….you know, so she’d feel right at home. She arrived in my life at a turning point of great (exciting) change. Her fiery red hair and the careful consideration of her expression is a treasured girlfriend pushing me just beyond my comfort zone…into amazing opportunities.

The second one–a gift from my husband–attests to the success of those opportunities. She hangs in a room I refer to as The Rosebury Room where “anything goes” and creative progress is carefully guarded.

I love art but I have honestly never responded to pieces like this. I never get tired of the “stories” Leslie’s ladies have to share with me.
